Christmas in July Project #4

Yes we need Santa for Christmas in July. How about Santa as an ornament? He could also be used as a stocking stuffer. I used many different punches to create him.

hat - pennant punch
hat pom pom - itty bitty shapes punch pack
hat brim - large oval scallop
holly - boho blossoms (medium blossom used and cut into holly leaves)
berries - owl builder
face - wide oval
eyes - owl builer
eye lids - itty bitty shapes punch pack
nose - owl builder
mouth - owl builder
mustache - bird builder
beard - ornament
body - 2 1/2 circle
arms - large oval
mittens - owl builder
belt buckle - little labels punch pack
boots - bird builder
boot trim - scallop border punch

His cheeks were sponged with pink pirouette to give him some color. Beard was embossed with Northern Flurry  folder. Each leg made with 3 pieces of peppermint candy. The candy is attached end to end using glue dots. Black strip of cardstock used for belt. Punched a hole in the top of the hat so ornament can be hung on the tree. I really had fun making this. Once I figured out what punches to use he went together pretty quick.

Close up of face and body.

Wow over half the week is over already. Only three more days of Christmas in July. Hope these projects are sparking your creativity and getting you in the mood for Christmas!
Hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July!
