Take a Tip Tuesday # 7

Today's tip is using the Hardwood background stamp (found in Occasions mini)

to create a basket weave.

Ink the stamp with your choice of color. I used Crumb Cake ink on

Crumb Cake cardstock.

Cut the stamped cardstock into strips. Just follow along the wood lines.

The weave I made used 8 strips.

Lay out 5 strips then start weaving the other 4 strips into them.

Its just over and under the strips. Pretty simple.

After the weaving is complete turn the piece over and

add strips of tape to hold the strips in place.

With the tape side down and framelit on top of the cardstock

layer the "sandwich" then run through the Big Shot.

I used Deco Labels.

The handle was made using Oval Collection Framelits. For this basket I used the 3rd and 4th

ovals to create the handle. Eggs were made with wide oval punch and stamped with Gorgeous Grunge

stamp set. Colors used: Vanilla, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, and Early

Espresso. Fringe Scissors for the grass, and Hexagon Folder for the Marina Mist layer. Easter Greeting

is from a retired SU stamp set.

Well happy 1st day of April! Its April Fools day and the Cleveland Indians Home Opener. Lets hope

they do as well as they did during the exhibition games.

Sarah popped over early yesterday afternoon. That was a nice surprise. She had to finish up her taxes, and
needed to borrow my pc as hers is broke. So I made her lunch then we went out and shopped a bit. Always great to see her.
